The Golden Gate Bridge is the subject I return to most. Living in Marin, I cross it constantly and still pull over when the light turns: blue hour as the tower lights come on, mornings when the Presidio's cypress trees frame the span, and the rare crystal-clear evening when the city skyline threads between its cables.
